  1. an electronic cigarette? is this a joke? Ive never heard of it before.

  2. I know what you are talking about by the electonic smokes they are in almost every gas station and store around here. That would probrably be something you would want to ask your doctor i do not know anything about them i have just only seen them.

  3. I’m not sure about the effects.
I do know that the e-cigarette doesn’t contain all the other chemicals that cigarettes have. But, you’re breastfeeding the nicotine would most likely travel into the milk. I think the upside is that it’s water vapor and doesn’t have the smoke scent.

  4. I just looked it up to see what it was and their website says not suitible for pregnant or ****** feeding mothers so I guess not but hey please send me one! I would like my fiancé using tha instead if real smoke it looks like onlythe uk can buy them so far

  5. Everything you do your baby does as long as your still breatfeeding! It would be best if you didn’t smoke but if you do need to smoke right after you feed the baby smoke so by the next feeding it will be almost out of your system! Good luck!

  6. Nicotine from smoking does not get into your ****** milk. Im not sure about the electronic cigarette or even what it is though. However if you do smoke while nursing beware that the second hand smoke or even the smell of the smoke on your body can be hurtful to your child. Wash your hands and change your shirt (thats what i did after smoking) And also beware that smoking while nursing will slow down your milk production. If that happens you can take a vitamin called phenagreek (not to sure on the spelling ) but it will help produce more milk.

  7. no it is not safe. If you have to smoke then make sure you smoke right after breastfeeding and go outside away from baby. wear a jacket to cover your clothes and take it off before going inside. Wash your hands after smoking and then dont smoke right before breastfeeding.
Of course if you can refrain from smoking that will be best. But it is still better for a smoker to breastfeed then a smoker to formula feed. Just try and minimise the risks to your baby as much as possible if you have to smoke. Following the guidelines I said above will help.
Electric smoke, home rolled smoke, tailor made smoke it dosnt matter what your poison it is still poison.
Good luck and way to go with the breastfeeding.

  8. After looking it up and reading all about it,and the bottom of the webpage of the main seller of the product it says do not use if you’re a non-smoker,pregnant or nursing..

  9. no,no,no,no,no,no,no,no,no,no,no,no,no,no
Electronic cigarettes still contain nicotine. Nicotine is a poison. It can and will transfer through brestmilk which can cause strain on the babies heart and contribute to developmental issues. Absolutly do not us any nicotine products while nursing. The Nicotine can also cause problems in delivery. Nicotine constricts blood vessles which can cause issues in the stopping the bleeding that occurs from the delivery process. Do what is best for you and your child and stay away from nicotine. If you insist on using and Ecig please do not brestfeed and use bottle feeding instead. I still do not encourage this though because their is so much vital nutrients and antibodies in the brestmilk which really helps set the stage for your babies early and future health.

  10. It’s almost certainly safer than tobacco cigarettes. Why? Because it doesn’t have the tar that causes cancer and other diseases, and, usually, has less nicotine. But it does have some nicotine in it, so it isn’t completely safe.
