It’s ridiculous. You can’t smoke in a restaurant, but a woman can whip out her chi chi’s and feed her child. Where’s the justice?

I think that we should take all the liberals who think that legislation like that is a good idea and put them all into a huge single block of concrete and then drop that into the deepest part of the Pacific Ocean.

It is just the start I live in West Australia and they have had ban like that in force for a few years but that was only the beginning.
Now they are going to ban it from all public alfresco areas,beaches,parks and cars with children in them.
I agree it should be banned indoors and maybe around children but I think they are starting to take it a bit far and I am a non smoker.

I’m not a smoker but I do believe in everyone having their rights, not just those who the rights they claim are politically correct. Anti-smokers will find any way possible to stop people from exercising that right, so smokers and others whose rights are compromised have to be willing to fight back too, as someone once said…by any means necessary. And to the one below me who agrees with some bans, I believe if people want themselves or their children not to be exposed to smoke, THEY should move. I’m not insensitive to children, but I do believe this world doesn’t revolve around those who make the politically correct choice.

I do not think smoking cigarettes should be a civil liberty. The liberty to kill yourself and then hurt others with second hand smoke and raise all health care costs is not a civil liberty it is insane!
I think pot should be legal before cigarettes. Nicotene is the most addictive substance known to mankind. Very few people know that. It is also, if you know the secret the easiest drug to get off of being addicted to.
I believe that we should have a federal ban on smoking nationwide. If we do not do that then we should tax it $50.00 a pack. It causes the most cruel of all deaths, ruins families and leaves people dead.
Well, that is my opinion. You can tell I used to be an ex smoker until I read a book by ALLEN CARR, The easy way to stop smokin.
Cold turkey, no withdrawal.
Anyway, great question. I think it should be outlawed.

I’m okay with that to a degree. It’s a public place, and the state (or township) has jurisdiction over what happens in publicly funded/operated buildings.

However, I do think that the county should make that call, not the state.

If the indoor space is PRIVATE, like a bar or a restaurant, I think it should be up to the owner or manager to decide if they want to allow smoking. Certainly not the state.
