Yes a 12v product designed for the car with have a plug at the end that plugs into the cigarette lighter. The socket is actually the cigarette lighter socket.
If it is a cigarette lighter outlet the rated amps can handle it. If it is just a 12v outlet, it will probably blow the fuse. A lot of cars don’t have the cigarette lighter outlets anymore. Hint, if there is no ashtray, then probably not a cig lighter. Find out how many amps the heater draws and check the car fuse rating.
